| Each and every possible switch function? Hi all!
Since most of us seem to have some buttons and switches on the dash that are blank (non-functional), I'd like to know what every one of them is supposed to do when they are present. Take mine for example (it´s an european '99 LC100, that's mostly your LX470)
Front center (What's the bottom row, third button for?): http://maletero.escharlamotor.org/Fo...j100/lc100.jpg
Center bottom (no blanks here): http://maletero.escharlamotor.org/Fo...j100/lc105.jpg
Left from steering wheel (two missing buttons?): http://maletero.escharlamotor.org/Fo...j100/lc107.jpg
And Happy New Year, BTW

| In the front center picture, what is circle item to the right of the climate control fan speed. Also, I would like to know about your stereo and gps setup.
Left from steering wheel. The two missing buttons, at the least in the USA are for opening the very rear windows in the cargo area (where the third row seats reside), they work like vent windows.
I wish we had the rear foglight.
Happy New Year!!!

uzj100 | That circle is an (aftermarket) rear parking sensor indicator. It has some colored LEDs and a beeper. I really only use the beeper, because when I drive backwards I look back, not at the dash. But it's very useful.
The stereo is a Blaupunkt radiocassette player. I have a 10-CD changer in the center console. I suppose the previous owner changed the stock stereo, o perhaps it didn't have any.
The nav system is a VDO Dayton MS 5000, that comes with its own system display. The main unit is under the front passenger seat.
The MS 5000 was not cheap (about US$ 2500 five years ago), and works quite well even in narrow streets, but it is a little bit outdated today.
All of these came with the car when I bought it second hand (in Germany). Quote: |

uzj100 | OK, thanks for the info. I don't have these opening rear windows because my LC is a 5-seat version. I have bought a set of third row seats I found in the same color as mine, and I plan to let the Toyota dealer install the mounting rails unless they ask too much for the job.
It's interesting to see which accessories are standard in some markets and optional or unavailable in others
I bet the wiring for the foglight switch is already present in yours.

| We don't have the headlight height adjustment either. Do you use it often?

Of course, my wife is no help with it either.

| In the center stack, to the right of the rear heater button, most USA versions have the on/off button for the rear climate control system.

The button to the right of the rear fog light switch is for idle-up or Power Heater on diesel versions.
On the small sub-panel for mirror adjustment, there is space for an outside mirror folding switch.
And yes, the headlight height adjustment is useful for avoiding dazzling someone, particularly in areas where daylight running lights are compulsary.

Of course, my wife is no help with it either. | One use is when you don't have an AHC. You can compensate for the changes in height caused by different load conditions. I do have AHC, but still I like to lower the lights when I'm driving in a traffic jam, for example.

Left from steering wheel (two missing buttons?): Oil slick injector. | Hmmm... just add the Black Smoke Cloud button somewhere. This is standard feature in the diesels

Gotta leave something to justify the Lexus LX470 mark-up...
