Clear hoses in A-Pillars?

I removed the A-pillar covers the other day to do some work and found that each pillar had a clear hose running top to bottom. I didn't have time to follow the hoses, but its been bugging me. Anybody know what they're for?

I'm going to guess sunroof drains but I don't own a 100 series.

Without going to look. Rear window washer line...since there not a fluid reservoir in the back.

Note to self: if rear washer ever fails it stays that way.

The clear hose in the A pillars are the sunroof drains. If you open the sunroof and look in the front corners, you'll see the drain holes. Make sure that they are clear and are not plugged up with dirt and leaves. They drop on the outside of cowl panels and drian out the bottom of the fenders.

I don't understand why Toyota just didn't put a reservoir and pump in the back, like they did with the 60-series. Having tubing taking a torturous path from front to rear with what looks to be 14 different fittings just seems like a leaky nightmare waiting to happen

Two different reservoirs to fill? Plus you have to fill the rear tank from the inside of the vehicle? At least that is how I have to do it on my 70. I prefer the 100 design... fill the reservoir when you are checking all the other fluids. And since I have not heard of anybody having problems, it must be somewhat reliable.
