Tire Life

I am interested in what kind of tread life or mileage you all are getting on your AT tires?

I have Revo's with about 50K, most of which was on road, and about 5K towing a heavy travel trailer. They will not make it through the winter, so hence my question. I also need to replace the stock Duelers on the 4Runner this year. ( can you spell $$$? )

Thanks

I have 42K miles on my truck with Michelin LTX M/S Pilots, had the thread measured a week ago and all 4 tires measured 8/32. They were 10/32's when new. The manager of the tire place says these Michelins wear like iron. Should get about 80K miles out of these if the timing is right going into the final winter versus summer when they are getting low on thread. I understand Michelin AT2's wear just as well, if not better.

Cuz you drive like a 20-year old...

My BFG ATs on my old Toyota Xtra Cab did about 80K in New England driving.

Can't report anything significant on the 100 yet since I'm on my third set of tires... at only 40K...

Stock, BFG MTs and now Toyo ATs... I'm gonna wear out the Toyos... I think...

I don't think my Toyo OC AT's will see 25K. They're wearing, inspite of the E rating on this size, as rapidly as others said they would .

Dealer said the top rubber layer on these tires is softer and wears more rapidly...then will wear longer as I get to to the harder rubber durometer. I dunno...sounds like a line to me . He told me his father got 50K out of a set on his Chevy Duramax PU.

My last set of Nitto TG's lasted 55K mostly on road, with a few K off road. At 55K they were pretty worn, but I was very happy with that. I didn't take the greatest care of them...

You New Yorkers sure are rough on tires.

Anybody else? I know there are many other tires rolling under 100's. I'm interested in hearing about the off brands too. I would like to hear more about the Nitto's, as they interest me at the moment.

I have 3/8" left on my BFG A/T's after 58k. I make mostly right hand turns on my delivery route (loaded with 1200 lbs.) and have only rotated them twice. I try to run 38psi in all of them, but had a slow leak in one for a couple of months, varying the pressure down to 20psi at times. That one wore pretty quickly (1/4 more on the edges) in less than 60 days of varying pressure. PSI really makes a difference. I wish I had taken the time to find that leak sooner.

Ran my Nitto TG AT for 35k. (2 years of beating the snot out of them, and 1 torn sidewall)They were good for another 10k or more but it was getting to be be winter and I live at 8,000 ft in CO. So instead of milking them through the winter only to buy new tires in the spring. I decided to throw down for some new rubber. I've got about 10k on bfg's ATs. I'd buy the Nitto's again over the bfg's. I'll be surprised if my BFG's last for 30k. chunked and lots of slices through black rubber into the white on the sidewalls. Maybe I'm just a bad driver.

I have 55k+ of road miles on my 275/70-16 BFG AT KOs. In a dry climate I think I could milk another 20k out of them, but I'm going to replace them with NTGs before the winter. I have never been really happy with how the BFGs handle in the wet or frozen stuff. I'm hoping the better siping on the NTGs will be an improvement in that category.
