What should i do???

I have the oppurtunity to buy a 2002 lx470, nav, levinson beautiful for $19,000, But to do this i would have to trade in my 1999 Ls-400 that i owe $15000 on and they would probably only give me $13,000 so i would be out 2000 on the car and put up an additional $6000 to buy the LX. What Should I do?

Price is a wee high on the LX and I'd be surprised if you get 13 for your LS. Anything V8 is in the crapper. Were you planning to trade the LS in anyway or just because the LX came up?

Depends on what you prefer driving. The LX will get much less MPG than the LS. However, if you like driving on trails in the mtns and the extra assurance in snow and ice - the difference is worth it.

The LS gets better MPG than many sedans with V6, so the mpg with the LX may be a shock. If the LX is in excellent shape and was well maintained, then the price may be worth while. I looked for months to find an LX in excellent shape that was in my desired price range - I was surprised at how many mistreated ones were still asking high prices.

I expect Denver to have higher prices on 4wd, so the 19K looks OK by me if the condition is excellent.
