New to me 100-- advice?

Came across an 02 100 w/ 55k miles and factory nav that I couldn't say no to...and I can't stop smiling! My wife thinks I'm insane...we now have 2 white Land Cruisers!

I know I can search & I did read over FAQ, but any personal advice for a new 100 owner? I have a small squeak (sounds like its coming from the rear) that oddly enough goes away when I hit the brake pedal-- may be time for rear brakes I'm guessing. Other than that, the thing's about perfect, save for a pretty good amount of wear on the Michelins.

Any common problem areas I should check out? Any good advice for a new 100 owner?

And yes, my 80's very jealous!

First, congrats on the purchase! You will love the truck. I have a 2000 with 109K on it that I've put 60K on in the last 3 1/2 years. Similar to your 80, the 100's are pretty bulletproof.

Does your squeak sound like it's coming from inside or outside?

To be frank I think I have a small inside squeak & a small outside squeak!

The inside is almost like a chirping...I think it might be a rear seatbelt making some noise (my old 4Runner had a similar thing).

The outside one I'm guessing is brake-related, as it goes away with even the slightest pedal pressure.

A few mystery noises aside, one very happy new 100 owner...

No problem there...I keep thinking of errands to run just to have an excuse to drive it!

Anyone else would laugh, but those of you on this forum get it: 3 days of ownership & I already can't imagine not owning a 100!
