ARB rack feet gap?
I installed my ARB rack feet a few months ago, still haven't gotten around to building the rack. But, I've been concerned about the gap they leave around them. The bolts are siliconed in and have rubber washers, no leaks through there, but I don't like the space around them. Anyone that's got them had issues with the gaps?

Wow. I don't like the looks of that, as I'm sure most don't. Is there any other way to mount a rack on the 100 series? I haven't looked into it at all yet.

If your vehicle does not come with a rack or rails, it comes with bolts in place with a little snap-in plastic cap over them. The cover is not waterproof. If your rack comes with rails or rack, there is nothing stopping water getting to the screws. IIRC the screws are cad or gal plated, you could opt for stainless, just make sure you seal them, don't worry about the trims, no one looks up there. You could buy the snap -in blank trims and dremel them out to make it neater if you wanted to.

I realize the stock rack isn't water tight where I'm looking at (the torx bolts were held in with a ton of silicon), but it was a lot better barrier than how it is now. The bolts sit above the line, so no using the little covers and cutting them to fit. I've had it through a few car washes and haven't seen any water inside, so I know it's not coming in the cabin. Just don't like big gaps that water can go in.
