I've had a lot of dashes apart, even have the fancy tools for prying and pulling. I put the dash back in my son's Buick today, now I want to get the DVD mod done. The FAQ glosses over getting this apart, and searching I find "it's so easy..." but no specifics. I've pried and wedged, I'm sure I'm close to breaking stuff, does anyone have any specifics on what and where to pull? Maybe I just have unusually tight dash clips.

I know that there's a pretty good thread with some pics here somewhere if you search.
You need to pry off the two trim pieces on either side of the head/Nav unit. The ones that have the heater vents at the top. They can be fairly hard to get out, but I found the clips to be sturdy and they can handle a good tug. I pry fro the bottom 1st. once these are out everything will become clear. __________________ Yes... my name is Sean ------------------------------------------- 80 FJ40 Stock/Restored 2" lift with 32's BFG Mud 73 FJ40 350/turbo 350 Auto, Saginaw, lock-rite, 4" SUA, 37" Baja Claws on 16" rims, snorkle, 4 wheel discs 2007 AHC Lift, 285/65/18 Terra Grapplers, Slee Rear Bumber,TJM Front |

It worked, very cool, thanks guys! I noticed in the Lexus forum one person mentioned he hooked up video feed for another screen while he was in there. Does anyone know how that's done? My long-term goal is to have a rear screen, this isn't really safe or legal for watching DVDs.
