could it be the starter already???
My 98 100 clicks once when i turn the key, all power comes on but it doesnt start. It will eventually start after turning the key a few times....WTF
I changed the starter 2 years ago and the battery is about 2 years old as well, maybe 3.
For the love of God if i have to change that starter again i will cry
any thoughts?? Where should i start (no pun intended)

Symptoms definitely sound like starter contacts, which would be really surprising so soon (and suck). Check your battery terminals, you can have the batt checked for free somewhere.

Sounds like starter. But before you go to that repair be sure to check your battery terminals as TM stated above: Remove them, clean the terminals (coke or emery cloth).
Was it a Toyota new OEM starter you replaced 2-years ago?

And since its easier than replacing the starter I'd have the battery load tested before pulling the intake.

You can't be serious. That is not that bad of a job. Bring it over, I'll do your starter and you can clean up the front axle on my project truck.
