Very nice HDJ100

This was posted over on Expedition Portal but I knew you guys would appreciate it. Some very cool and clean mods. I've invited the owner over here too.

Pretty cool. Like the control arm/shock protection. And nothing like a full CF belly plate.

Yeah well he's not short of a quid!
Some nice mods for sure. I wonder what each one cost.

Looks like a factory diff lock in the rear, as well as a long range fuel tank.

Still trying to figure out that control arm plate. Looks like it's bolted to the length of the arm, has one finger to pick up the axle end of the arm, and another that picks up the shock mount. Thing I can't figure out is it looks like it's static attached to the shock mount. Wouldn't that bind up the rear axle/control arm movement?

It's hard to see from the pic, but to me it is bolted to the arm only and just floats and is not attached anywhere else so no problems. This combined with some extra support as previously shown here on mud by Slee or Shotts or others could be a good option.

That's gotta be the case TD, just can't see it, weird angle on the pic or something. And you're totally right about the arm, if it's not beefed up it'll still just bend.

Wow, that is nice.

How do you keep a truck that clean?

Very nice truck.

As far as these skids? I'd a ripped off those bolts by now.

My bad. No sliders. OK, I see the use for the truck is not in the rocks.

You'd punch through the CF before you'd rip off a bolt.

His truck is used as Toyota designed it for. Blasting across the African desert, not rock crawling

...and rear skids are to protect shocks against stone projection
That's a first needed equipement, but you can DIY with polymére ( 3/8") lighter, cheaper, easyer to form and probably much resistant

By the way... it's a French LC... from south west

edit:
...And Adonis equidep, with intercooler... that mean the engine can deliver now 300hp (oem = 200hp) with hi security level and the same mpg (full loaded, drove on sand) we can easily have (14/15) in DD (normal hdj's mpg is around 26)
