Success in Cleaning Transfer Indicator Switch #84222-12010 !!!
Hi, I also had a problem with my transfer indicator switch. My dealership wanted $90 for the part and about 1 week to get it. I had success with just cleaning the switch instead of having to buy a new. Times five! Kudos! Now if you can help me determine why my ECT switch doesn't work...and why I have to fuss with the recirc button to get it to switch back and forth between inside/outside air
Spressoman - I had the recirc button issue with all 3 99s I owned. I now have a 00 and have never experienced this issue. I wonder if you could switch the reciric switch to a 00 switch.

Ha...great write up Clifford. This was the switch that solved it for me during my warranty. The dealer threw in a new $1200 TRAC/VSC CPU to no avail. They finally swapped this switch and wa-la! Mine would indicate lock and unlock though. I kept getting a false "VSC/TRAC malfunction light".
