Console Lid Latch
Being a dumb ass, I leaned across the console putting all my weight on it the other day to pick something up off the passenger floor. No, I was not moving! When I sat back up the console lid open by itself and all these small bits of plastic fall out! I broke the little latch on the top lids button. The bottom lid is more of a lever and I found those parts online. I can't find the top parts? Looks like I may have to buy the entire top as the button looks built in? Any ideas??? I'm sure this is going to be cheap. For now velcro is working just great! Classy as well.

Yes , the latch only comes with the (upper) console lid.
Its a good thing it retails for only $251.00

Forget the console, do a REAL FIX!

mine is broken also, so any fix other then the 251 replacement would be great

Sorry about the flying plastic, Pint...
Mine isn't broken yet - but its funny.
My console makes nearly the same slow squeek as I lift the lid as Thing's box made from the old TV show, "The Addams Family." We'll forget about it for a couple of weeks, then for some reason I'll have the rig shut off and I'll open the console lid... to an explosion of laughter. Hope you find a fix. The boneyards around here are nearly LC100 free. Tough to find stuff. --- Ken |
