Passenger power window on LC100

GDay all
Can anyone tell why I cant close my front passenger window if my passenger opens their door. Its a real pain when you have to ask your passenger not to open their door until the driver has cloesed the windows. Can this be changed so the windows can be closed after the door is opened.

Do you mean after the key is out? I dont think you can close any windows once the key is out and any door is open. If not, I'm not sure I have experienced this. As long as the key is in the on position, you should be capable of closing/opening any window. Not really an answer.....someone else might have a better answer.

The key is with the key. You can't turn it to the position where you remove it. My old 4runner you could completely remove the key and open the door while the windows were going up! It had a timer and that was a nice feature.

Standard feature in most cars. Once the power circuit is broken by someone opening a door, the window up/down control without the key in the ignition shuts off. If it's such a hassle, just leave the key in the ON position and roll the windows up, then it doesn't matter who's got a door open.

Sorry guys i am new at this forrum stuff so im not sure how to reply to you all.
First thanks for taking the time to reply.
The thing is I can remove the key and still work all the windows for about 30 secs.
I can open the rear doors and still work the windows in this 30 second time limit.
But if i open the either front door the whole thing stops. I then have to reinsert the key and turn to the on position to finish closing the windows. This is not realy a big deal, more of a pain in the neck and I was wondering if its normal operation or is somthing wrong.

Normal, but I wasn't aware you could open the rear doors and still have the windows work.
