looking for Russian 100/105 to drive in russia
I will be in russia for the month of June. I would like to find a diesal 100 or 105 to drive and learn more about hands on. If you know of anyone or can help meout, or find a tour guide that uses it I would appreciate it. Thinking about traveling in europe and then south america this year and would like some experiance with a diesel before I buy one.

isn't it likely that all the 100s in Russia belong to Mafia Bosses...?
I'd think twice about taking one of their prized possession for a trip in the dirt....

HMMMMMMMM,
I wouldn't worry about diesels too much...BUT
Where do you intend to purchase from, are you going to transport it around the world, or are you going to buy and sell in Europe and SA? Long term hire may be available in Europe at a reasonable cost, SA....where are you going, how long for, lots more info required before commenting on which vehicle to buy and where to buy it and/or to sell it.

Traveling overseas I recommend a car that is widely used in the area. Parts availability and mechanics familiarity are just two reasons. You will attract less attention in a common car. Parking safety, carjackers, etc. will not notice you, same for crossing borders. In most of S. America the roads are well maintained because they are used daily even in fairly remote areas. If you go Landcruiser keep it basic looking. For Europe you can't beat renting, prices vary from country to country so rent in the cheapest (Germany?)
