Installation of a Tuffy Security Box

I am going to install a 3ft x 1ft steel security box in the back of my 04 LC. Some of you (in another thread) gave me the advice to use the holes for the 3rd row seats and just get longer bolts. Made perfect sense, except if I use longer bolts, I may not be able to secure the third row seats properly. The way I am installing the box, it will be removable by removing fasteners from the inside of the box (same way many safes are installed to walls.) I want to be able to pull the box out and use the third row when I have company in town.

Can you think of a way to use those holes and not mess up the integrity of the third row?

if not...

I can drill fresh holes for this purpose but I can't quite tell what is down there aside from the spare. Where exactly is the gas tank? Doesn't seem to be under the third row.

Last question... is there a way to use a screw, and not a bolt so I can just work it from the top side? or is that stupid?

Here is the only pic that I can find out of the TSM but it doesn't show how far back it goes.

Appears to be in front of the rear axle. That at least gives me a target.
