It wasn't "perfectly good". It had front end damage and was actually pretty hammered when Slee got ahold of it.

Ahhh, well in that case, go for it !! I didn't realize the 100 was messed up prior to the mods......

Believe me, I should have taken a perfectly good one and not one that was in a fender bender. Would have been much easier and cheaper in the long run.
Why do it, well if you have to ask, then you probably don't need it or hasn't reached the limits of the vehicles you have. This is certainly not for everyone.

This is what i was thinking. Had you taken one that didn't have any damage, only thing you would have had to do was the SAS.
If i could afford a SAS on a 100 (and afford a good, low mileage 100) I'd sell my 80 and getrdone.
Christo, the blueberry is badass (I'd love to have it!) and I cant wait to see what the next project is...

Christo,
what size rear bump stop are you running for those tyres, and did you move the rear diff back to clear the door area, and/or cut the rear out of the back arch, and if so, by how much?
And is it true, it has "longer than OME L" shocks on the back

That's good to hear. I subscribed to it without ever reading it before assuming it was geared toward all SUV's etc... but to my dissapointment, 99% of the ariticles and write-ups have been Jeep related. I might give them another year if they work it out. The pics included for Slee's article were pretty awesome. You got any more pics of the thing in action Christo?

The rear axle is moved about 1", the rear wheelwells were cut open about 2.5" and I think we run 4" bump stops.

L shocks with the bottom mount moved up about 5"

Christo if you don't mind i have a few questions.
1. What width is the rear axle on the truck?
2. How wide does the front axle need to be?
3. Can this be done with Dana 60?
4. Would a leaf spring set up be possible and easier or harder?
That's it so far, thanks.

> 1. What width is the rear axle on the truck?
Stock 100 series width. If I recall it was +-69" WMS to WMS
>2. How wide does the front axle need to be?
The front was made to match the rear.
>3. Can this be done with Dana 60?
I am sure it can. You would just have to get an axle with the diff in the right spot.
> 4. Would a leaf spring set up be possible and easier or harder?
I think it would be harder to fit it all under there and have it drive well. Also the steering will be more difficult to do.

Thanks for the response Christo. Are the coil mounts for the rear of the 100 series axle the same as an 80 series, meaning can 80 series coils be mounted on a 100 series rear axle or would the mounts need to be changed out.
Also, where can i get front coil mounts. Did you make them yourself or did you buy a universal or use 80 series stuff?
Thanks.

I have a hard time believing this wont be more and more common. I paid 14,500 for my 99 100 series with 130K. It drove exactly like the rigs i test drove with 80K that cost 4-10K more..... I have been very very happy with my 100. i Paid 14,300 for my 80 series in 2003 that had 130K on it.... The hundred series is 2-5 years from being the new 80 series. it wouldnt surprise me to see the 100 forum having the same traffic level as the 80 series in 2-5 years.

The rear coil buckets are the same as the 80. The front coil buckets on the frame side can be bought from Toyota. The axle side has to be made or cut off an old axle.
