Fender Fell Off

As I am doing 70mph on the highway I hear a loud sound, and something hit my passenger mirror. When I pull off to see wtf it was I find my front fender flare 2/3 missing. Apprently the 70mph wind tore it off, and I guess it was missing screws. This is very weird, as I hit nothing. Ya'll heard of anything like this? Any ideas what a new front, passenger side flare will cost me? Oh yea, go check ya screws on your flares! My driver side seems to be on very tight.

Re:Fender Fell Off

What about when you decided to whip it through the mud awhile back. Do anything else to it too?

Have you had any work done on the power antenna lately? When I purchased my unit the dealer repaired/installed a new power antenna. Abut a half dozen clips were missing. C-Dan mentioned this is where they get access to the unit.
Just a thought.

Junk-Never hit that fender when offroading..but did power wash the underside of the fender...a possibility I guess. Don't see why that knock of screws.

DMX-No work done on the antenna ever.

Tad-Didn't run over anything.

Here is a pic..still confused as to why it happened.

Re:Fender Fell Off

i'm pretty sure that neither dad's 100 nor 105 even came with them, so they cant be that important. Also one of the turn indicator lights mounted just infront of the front door broke a clip and poped out on the 100 after some light corrugations. So maybe the clip plastic they used wasn't up to standard this time.

Can you take the fender flares off without leaving holes in the sheetmetal?

Pretty sure the fenders come off w/o holes in the body. Just gotta do some cleaning/scraping off crap.
