| Seat height adjustment (It is killing my spine) In my LC that I purchased last week, I have played with the different seat adjustment settings quite a bit but have found that the back support (with or without lumbar support) bends my spine in a very uncomfortable angle.
I played with the settings quite a bit and my finding was that the seat is designed for people taller than me (I am 5'5). I reached this conclusion because if I "sit" on my seat leaving about an inch or two of space between the seat and my butt, I feel that the spine is not being bent uncomfortably.
Is anyone familiar with this? I am going to try putting a cushion in my seat to find out if that does the trick.
If you are familiar with this issue or have a suggestion/comment/solution, please reply.
Getting taller is not an option and neither is to keep driving with an inch or tow of space between my butt and the seat. These two suggestions will be ignored...............

| We did two 1600 mi road trips last summer, most of the driving for each trip in 4 days (about 350 miles/day). Last trip was to So. CA (500 mi each way).

| im 5'6" and I went for a nice 4 hour drive the other night. Didnt feel any pain at all when i got out. But if I was to compare seats between my LX470 and our LS430, the LX seats are like park benches and the LS has lazyboys.
Have you adjusted the Seat height also? i found that having my whole seat at a different angle totally changes how my back is positioned. I drive with the steering wheel all the way down, seat all the way up, comfy distance for the pedals and seatback just tilted back enough that when i put my shoulders on the seatback, i can just grip the top of the wheel.
My desk chair on the other hand kills my back, ive had it for like 6 years now...I want one of those recaro office chairs.

| My wife is 5'2 and she loves the seats in the LC or LX. They are essentially the same. She has the height way up and the seat way forward - I can't even get in the seat at her settings even with the steering wheel up. Thankfully, the LX has memory seats.
We have driven the LC and LX on many long trips (>1000 miles one way) and they have been great. The only complaint is that the passenger seat did not get lumbar support until 2004.

| My wife is also shy of of the 5' 2" mark. When I get in the LC after her I have to tilt the seat base back. I assume she tilts it forward making the seat base level for comfort.

| Uncle Dim,
Yes, that is what I had to do in the LC - prior to getting memory settings in LX.

Hard to believe it doesn't come on a $60K LC.

YOU HAVE A BACK PROBLEM, YOU NEED TO SEE A CHIROPRACTOR; THE LUMBAR SUPPORT IS GOOD TO HAVE.

| I'm 5' 6" and I have driven over 14 hours only stopping for gas many times. Never had a complaint regarding the seats. Matter of fact, next to a Volvo we used to have the LC seats are the best I've ever had in a car. |

| I have tried many different settings - with the seat high, low, front back, different lumbar settings, etc. However, I cannot find a setting in which my back does not feel uncomfortable.
I do not think it is a problem with my back. In my ES300, I have found a very good setting for my back - with the seat low and pushed back.
I compared the seat adjustment in my ES300 and the LC and found otu that in my ES300, I can move the bottom seat cushion up or down while keeping the back support at the same place. I could not do that in the LC.
What I know for sure is that when I "sit" about an inch or two above the seat, the back support including the lumbar feel very natural/comfortable. I willl drive with a cushion with a while to see if that is just a fallacy or actually true. Will let you guys know how it goes......
Unfortunately, there are not many LCs that I can play with the seat settings with in my area. I would love to compare my seat with that of other LCs.
