FZJ80 Exhaust Upgrade

Introducing the all new
FZJ80 Performance Exhaust
The only header-back exhaust available for the FZJ80 Lexus LX450 and Toyota Land Cruiser
by: EMSPowered

Full "header-back" high performance exhaust
1993-1997 Toyota Land Cruiser
Lexus LX450
4.5 Liter 1FZ-FE

These are custom built-to-order: 2-6 week build time (for rush orders call or email us first)

If you are looking for the best exhaust for your Land Cruiser or LX450, you have come to the right place. With the FZJ80 exhaust we have taken everything into consideration and made an exhaust that is by far the best on the market. Nothing else even comes close.

* Incorporated high flow catalytic converter to keep smog legal and for a cleaner environment
* Complete CNC 2.5" mandrel bent assembly for maximum exhaust flow
* Tig welded for maximum strength and longevity
* Full stainless steel construction
* Dual interlock flex sections in the "y-pipe" that absorb shock and movement to avoid any stress on the exhaust or the headers
* Over-sized high flow stainless steel muffler
* "Over-the-frame" pipe routing for maximum ground clearance
* "Tucked" muffler and catalytic converter for maximum ground clearance
* Designed to work with most aftermarket "sliders"
* Custom stainless steel exhaust tip for a long lasting finish
* Exhaust exits behind the right rear tire instead of the factory location. It not only looks better, but also allows for greater departure angles
* Full "BOLT-ON" installation. No welding or modification required
* Includes new gaskets and mounting hardware

For anyone interested in purchasing the exhaust in it's current version, this is for you. We're calling it's current version p0.91. We've built a few sets already. With the p0.91 version, the things to note are:

* If you have a larger than factory spare tire in the factory location it may rub the exhaust pipe
* As noted by Ebag333, interference may occur with the rear control arm with heavy articulation of the rear axle during rock crawling
* Sliders should fit, but may require trimming (from what we've seen so far though, they should fit without trimming)
* Will be 100% bolt-on for 95-97 LX450 and Land Cruisers
* Should fit 93-94 FZJ80 as well, but has not been test fitted yet

Sound Clips (thanks to Ebag333):

Factory Exhaust - Outside
EMSPowered Exhaust - Outside
Factory Exhaust - Cruising
EMSPowered Exhaust - Cruising

Notes from Ebag333 regarding the sound clips -
The first two are recorded outside the cab, right next to the exhaust exit. These are the best two for sound/volume comparison.
The second two are recorded while inside the cab. A quick run down of events (so you can get an idea of what was happening):
Turning onto the street.
Turning onto the freeway.
Accelerating on the on ramp (on mine I had to slow down as there were two cops right there).
Cruising on the freeway.

Options:

Full "Header-Back" Exhaust (including Y-pipe & Cat section) - Complete ehxaust system. Bolts to the OEM headers and goes all the way back to the exhaust tip.

Y-pipe & Catalytic convertor section only - Bolts to the OEM headers and includes a high-flow catalytic converter. Bolts directly to the secondary OEM catalytic converter.

"Cat-back" Exhaust (Bolts to the primary OEM Cat) - Bolts directly to the OEM primary catalytic converter, and goes all the way back to the exhaust tip.

PRICING & ORDERING for IH8MUD members ONLY:

Full "Header-Back" Exhaust (including Y-pipe & Cat section): $950
Order here: FZJ80 Header-Back Exhaust (1993-1997)

Y-pipe & Catalytic convertor section only: $495
FZJ80 Y-Pipe and Catalytic Convertor (1995-1997)

"Cat-back" Exhaust (Bolts to the primary OEM Cat): $519
FZJ80 Cat-Back Exhaust (1993-1997)

can you post an audio or video?

with the engine running to illustrate what the exhaust sounds like? Interested, but don't want to end up with the kind of exhaust in the little asian import tuned cars. fart cans as some like to call them.

Thanks for coming up with this option for the community.

It's definitely not an ricey import tuner type sound. It's a nice deep rumble. I've added some sound clips to the first post for you.

Is there only one Cat now on your system? Mine has two. And is the Cat(s) still in the same location so that the Cat protection offered in the Metal Tech sliders still going to be useful? I have no exhaust issues even though I have 240K on the truck but I know they day will be coming soon because Cats are designed to last forever. This sounds like a great option btw!

* If you use our full header back exhaust setup you will have a single high flow cat in the system. The cat we use us much larger than the factory catalytic converter with a lot more surface area. So you will have plenty of internal catalytic converter surface area to keep the exhaust flow clean, keep the O2 sensors happy, all while allowing much better flow.

* If you use only our y-pipe/cat section, it bolts up directly to your factory secondary catalytic converter. So you will still have two catalytic converters in your system.

*If you use only our "cat-back" setup, our muffler section bolts up directly to your primary catalytic converter. This way you retain only the single primary catalytic convertor.

Our high-flow catalytic converter sits approximately where the factory primary cat sits. We have not tested it on a vehicle with the MetalTech sliders yet, but it looks like it should line up to where the cat protection plate does it's job.

I have a 1997 Land Cruiser 40th Aniversary Edition, 3" OME Lift, Rock Sliders that are a tight fit for the factory exhaust. Would it be possible to send pictures for your opion if this system would clear the sliders?

Today is the last day of the introductory sale prices. For the guys that ordered. A few have shipped, I think there's 2 more that have not shipped yet that will be shipping this coming week. Thanks everyone! And hope to see more and more of these on FZJ80's in the future.

What is the current price? is it the $950 or $1200 on the web page? I was interested in this since the inception but I've been away from the US for a bit of time and just recently got back.

We did a batch of them all at once to be able to lower the price and then ended the sale. But it looks like there's enough interest and orders coming in on these to keep it at the sale price for now. I just extended the sale price all the way through the end of 2009. The few folks that ordered at the regular price in the last couple weeks should see a refund here in the next 30 minutes.

BACK AT THE SALE PRICE FOR THE REST OF 2009!
