FJ 80 / LEXUS 450 Bolt on Rock Sliders
4x Innovations is proud to introduce Bolt on FJ80 Rock Sliders! These rock sliders have been precision engineered to provide excellent protection while remaining as light weight as possible.
From the ground up these sliders are built with your truck in mind. All plate hardware is made from high grade high carbon steel which makes it strong while remaining lighter than metal alloys of similar strength. Added to this high grade mounting steel is 1.75” OD, 1/8” wall DOM tubing to form the main slider body. Or you can upgrade to 3/16” wall tubing if you plan to really hammer on them.
Ease of instillation and long life were of top priority when designing the mounting system. On the driver’s side, to eliminate the common “Rock Anchor” affect the front and middle mounting points are formed U brackets that cup over the bottom of the frame. Two bolts clamp shut at the top, thus securely holding on the sides of the frame. The rear mount locates behind the lower control arm mount keeping it out of harms way. On the passenger side, the cat skid bolts to 4 existing holes in the frame where factory captive nuts are already present. The middle and rear mounting points are the same as on the driver’s side. A great feature of the U bracket is that it does not cause a high stress point load that tries to crush your frame. Yet another feature is ease of instillation as the U bracket alone helps hold the sliders up during instillation. Slip a single bolt in the middle mount just in case and the slider now holds itself while you line it up just right.
Your rocker panel isn’t the only thing that is protected either! While designing a mounting system we didn’t feel right about leaving your poor, helpless (and not to mention expensive) catalytic converters hanging out there like a pair of droopy balls just waiting to get kicked. So after many hours of CAD work a trick, stout skid plate was designed to keep you covered. This skid acts as both catalytic protection and the slider mount on the front passenger side.
Available for 95-97 FJ80s and Lexus 450s for $589.00 +shipping
Or get 3/16” wall tubing for $710.00 +shipping
To order please contact us or visit this page of our website.
Thank you!

Do you mean the Skid plate? I don't tend to mount the post office.

Awe come on now they're not defects, just need light massaging. Couple of narrowing cuts, and a hole that someone didn't put on the drawing...

I think he wants to see some pics of the US-spec Passenger Side and by unmounted I think he means he wants to see the slider before it is mounted on the truck.
Or more clearly, he wants to see the slider for the Passenger side (US or Right side) slider off the truck.
Clear as mud?

Is powder coating available and what would be the additional cost?

Not currently. It's too difficult to ship them with out the coating getting destroyed. Besides what are you going to do WHEN you scratch said coating wheeling it? It will get scratched eventually...

You are not paying attention. These are bolt on sliders. Why would I weld them on? Besides, you know I can't weld.

I was just trying to get an apples-to-apples cost comparison to the vendors that supply bolt on sliders for the 80-series. The bolt-on sliders offered by several of the other vendors are already powder-coated.

Spray Paint is the Best Coating for Sliders IMO. why spend the $$ on something thats function is to grind on rocks all day long.. with spray paint you just put another coat on, and call it good..
Nice Product guys!

LOOKS GREAT! I didnt notice in any of the earlier posts, but is there anything in the works for 93-94, If the only difference is the cat protection I would be interested in a set of the ones you have without the cat protection.

Two and a half questions --
Do they come painted/primered or do they ship out bare?
Would you consider doing a variant with the outriggers parallel to the ground and a plate on the top to make them steps? If so, what would that setup cost?

They come bare metal so you can do what you'd like for coatings.
I can build them so they stick straight out from the truck at no additional cost. Give me a call and we can talk about options and pricing for plating the top.

You guys are making some awsome looking stuff. What software package are you using for your modeling/drafting? Do you have the laser cutting company doing the tubing cuts as well or just the sheet/plate cutting? We've got a company in Albuquerque that recently got a 5-axis laser cutter that can do some amazing stuff with tubing. Do you outsource the shear/brake work or in house?

I've not had the pleasure of actually having a part made on their 5-axis but I imagine it would be pretty pricey. This company caters to high end companies, government entities and National Laboratories so they typically can afford it.

I now have 95-97 Bolt on Sliders in stock. They are the .120 wall DOM, with a kick out, and mounted up with the upward slant. Order today before they're gone!
