Colin,
Regular center console or the stereo security console? They list both in a 6" box for the application, but not an 8". Is there at least 8" between the seats?

any luck on a quote for a 6" black console to canada? do i need any mounting brackets?
Do these things just overhand above the rear heater in a 40?

I'd like to know about that rear heater question--is there any Tuffy box that will fit in an '82 40 series with the heater mounted in the back of the console?

The console 023 or 024 will fit with the rear heater by using the 074 fit kit available.

Im getting mine soon.. ill let you guys know how it mounts up with the fit kit.

Could you post up a picture in the thread after you get it installed? Seems to be a bit of interest in putting one in a 40 series with rear heat.

Not according to Tuffy, it won't... I asked about a 1982 40 series with the rear heater in the factory console, but your answer only pertains to 1973-1980.
